How to choose a solar pro
Solar is a 25-year purchase sold by people compensated on a 25-day cycle — which is why we only list NABCEP-certified installers who quote itemized line items, not 'system price' black boxes.
What we look for
- NABCEP-certified designer on staff
- Itemized quote (panels, inverter, racking, labor, permitting)
- Production guarantee in kWh, not just panels
- Manufacturer warranty AND workmanship warranty separately

Questions to ask before you hire
If a company won't answer these clearly, that's your answer.
- What's the production guarantee in kWh per year?
- Is the workmanship warranty separate from the panel warranty?
- What happens to my system if you go out of business?
